What is your favorite type of kink to read and write?
I love bdsm, focusing on the bondage and especially work where the male is submissive or the one in bondage. There's just something about having a big strong male at my...ahem, at my heroine's mercy
. What genres do you write?
Erotic romance and romance, but often I cross several genres under the romance umbrella: African-American, Interracial, BDSM, Urban Fantasy, M/M, Paranormal, Shapeshifters. etc. But no matter what I'm reading or writing, I like my happily ever after.
Would you tell us about your latest and upcoming releases?
One of my latest releases--Emila's Emancipaton--is pretty tame in comparison with most of my work and features a single mother, Emilia, who has undergone a painful divorce more than a decade previous but has sacrificed her lovelife and been celibate for the last several years in favor of focusing her attention and emotional energy on her young son. She has a problem sticking to this promise when she meets Ramon, a sultry younger man and dance instructor who also turns out to be her troubled and "gifted" son's new English teacher. This one is the fourth story in my The Matchmaker series and is available from Siren Publishing (www.sirenpublishing.com).
Sentinel's Hunger, just released last month St. Patrick's day, is a Sisters of Emsharra Novella that appears in Rapture Volume 1 and is available from Rapture Publishing (www.rapturepublishing.com). Sentinel's Hunger is an urban fantasy with a succubus heroine who is taken prisoner by a human hybrid male out for revenge for what was done to his mother by the heroine's kind. The hero and heroine are African American and since it's a capture theme, there are scenes of bdsm (male dom). Though it's not my favorite combination, I have a particular fondness for these characters and enjoyed their sexual chemistry and social interractions overall.
Bouncer's Folly is the last story in my m/m erotic paranormal romance trilogy Zara's Bois and is scheduled for release 5/5/08. It features a couple of hot bondage and spanking scenes that got my adrenaline pumping while I was writing them and I'm hoping they will do the same for my readers
. What is your favorite scent?
Sandalwood and Musk.
Do any of your characters have tattoos, piercings or scars?
Most if not all of my characters have emotional scars
. As for tattoos and piercings, Slany Breeze the heroine in Terms of Surrender has two tattoos and a navel piercing. Nick, the hero from the same book has an ear piercing and wears a tiny gold hoop there. I have a djinni in one of my earliest works, Desert Dreams, who has a gold hoop in his ear too. I think this sort of piercing on men is very attractive and masculine (not that I have a Mr. Clean fetish or anything, lol). Do you have a website, blog, or email where readers can reach you?
