In the distant future, the Laetez have advanced the process of crossbreeding alien species. Their hope is to one day find a species capable of freeing them from their symbiotic existence between the Re--similar to human-- and the Er--a creature that lives in the Re's head and controls its volatile emotions.
So far their experiments through ACT (Alien Conversion Testing) have failed to free the Ers but have provided many useful side effects for the Laetez and other species, including humans. Their research has cured diseases and produced intelligent, powerful crossbreeds to serve various cultures.
Only these products can fully understand the suffering caused by ACT. Their quest for acceptance, respect and the freedom enjoyed by purebred species takes them on many intergalactic adventures in which these sexy aliens find the mates of their dreams.
